So, why is this church placing “Love Your Neighbor” around Seabrook? “Love Your Neighbor” is one of the most familiar phrases from the Bible. It appears multiple times throughout scripture. But it appears that little attention is being given to loving one’s neighbor during the upcoming midterm elections. Campaign signs, social media, and political TV ads will demand much of our attention through to election day, Tuesday November 8th. The overall message conveyed to us is one of distrust and anger toward those whose political views differ from ours. Somehow, the message that we are all children of God is buried under negative political ads and angry words posted in social media. These” Love Your Neighbor“ signs are posted in the hope that however you decide to vote, please remember to love your neighbor.
